Just a quickie journal entry because my previous one was so horribly outdated it was midly frightening....

Not a whole lot going on, other than the fact that it's summer and I'm milking all the free time I can out of it Because sooner or later I'm going to have to return to reality (read: summer reading is yet unstarted), and I'm putting it off for as long as I can. Two and some change months just isn't long enough to recover from a year of stress and prepare for another.

And then there's that college thing.....yeah. For sanity's sake, we're not gonna talk about that. -__-;

I told myself I was going to write/draw/work on creative stuff this summer (*coughcough*), but, although I do have more than a couple drawings I've done, they're a) not scanned yet, b) unfinished, c) only shaded in pencil, so I'm still unsure if I want to put them up, or d) all/some combination of the above. Maybe I'll get those up sometime in the near-future, but more likely I'll do as I've been doing since school got out and watch anime and/or read instead.

Percussion practice is twice a week all summer long (there goes my summer travel plans ><; ), but that doesn't take up much time.

So, in reality, I don't really have much of an excuse for the severe lack of updates, other than sheer procrastination and laziness @@;

Anyone here ever read Devil in the White City? Most random line EVER. And also, there needs to be a mood choice for something like "Would be really happy if only this show wasn't so freaking depressing."

OhayoCon was awesome, although the weather kind was kind of horrible and I'm gonna need to fix my wig again. Didn't go to any of the panels I was planning to go to, but still had fun :3. Found some awesome Code Geass stuff and got a commission of Oja, which was also awesome. The cosplays were sweet, and people there actually had seen Rozen Maiden, which was cool. Although for some reason none of the pictures taken of us are to be found now. Go Figure. o.O; Can't wait until the next Con. x3

has started to get me into BJDs. I found one I want, but now I have to convince my family to help me pay for her. Which is proving to be rather difficult unfortunately. Maybe once Gavin comes things will change. Or not. And has got me wanting a cool gothic-y dress. One maybe be more realistic than the other.

;_; I need a job.

Creative Writing class is awesome, and we're starting to get into the kind of stuff that I can actually use my characters and stories for, so I'm pretty excited for that, too. I'll be putting the better stuff from that up once we get through with it in class. Feel free to read them :3.

o.o; Whoa, I haven't posted a new journal since the beginning of the school yeah. Dang.

I can't say that I have a legit excuse, except for that AP classes actually take time to do well in. Who've thunk. And now practice for the spring musical is starting up again, so I have practice now too-we're doing Guys and Dolls. Which is such a smart idea, of course, since 3/4 of cast is female. But I like it, so it's fine. (One of the advantages of not being an extremely important part is that you don't have to go to as many rehersals. Haha.) And the cast actually has to help with crew. Haha. Guess the sets won't have to build themselves this year. >D

I've got a lot of drawings, but they're all mainly pencil, though I've been working on inking by hand, so I have a couple of those-including a inked version of this, which I would never have attempted with my tablet. xD; If anyone's interested, I'll upload the pencil versions, but I'm pretty sure anyone who would be has already seen them xD;;.

Ohayocon '09 is coming up at the end of the month. I was gonna cosplay Bella in circus form, but I'm not gonna finish the costume in time, so I'm gonna save it for later this year. :3.

"Why so serious?"

Eh, so in lieu of the super power outages that have taken over, we haven't had school for the past two days. Even though most of us (myself included) haven't really had power out for more than a couple minutes. For me the most damage to our yard/house is a +200 sticksandleaves to our backyard.

...Not that I'm complaining. My lovely friends got me sick on Friday, so I had to get over that this weekend-I hate being sick at school. -still coughing- I also haven't actually finished everything that was due Monday. But that wasn't going to get done either way, so...Nothing to do about that. Also, AP classes are interesting. Very glad I didn't opt to take an AP Science too, though thus far it's been pretty deal-able. But school's only just started, so I don't want to put my foot in my mouth yet.

Newest Eragon/"Inheritance" book is coming out Midnight on the 19th, which is this friday, as I have been constantly reminded of by over the past 2-3 weeks. Thinking about going to the midnight release, since it's a weekend.

I have...lots of drawings, actually. But none of them are actually finished on the computer (i.e. Inked, colored, etc.). But a couple of the them are done on paper. So as a show of hands from those of you who care, should I put them up anyways?

Whoo no Band Practice. At this rate we'll be lucky to have our second show ready by the end of the season. ><;;

In slightly more positive news, and I took advantage of the treesdownpowerout day on Monday and started more-serious-about-it work on teh webcomic. It'll be cool, but so far we just have a chapter cover and a page. And a lot of plans, not so much in the concrete detail department. It's still a work in progress, but a slightly-closer-to-putupable work in progress. We are after all a full chapter cover and page further than we were since we first started.
